On June 21, 2012, MAN Diesel & Turbo Hong Kong Limited (MDT-HKG) successfully passed theISO9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification audit provided by World Center for Certification & Quality Certification Hong Kong. The ISO9001:2008 certification guarantees the quality of MDT-HKG’s services and that the services are adequately controlled, as well as ensuring that the quality management system complies with laws, regulations, and customer expectations.
MAN Diesel & Turbo Hong Kong (MDT-HKG), currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE in Augsburg, Germany, was established in the late 1970s. After having been a spare part sales agent for many years, MDT-HKG joined the MAN I PrimeServ family in early 2007, providing a full range of mostly marine services (2-/4-stroke, Turbocharger) to local and international customers. MDT-HKG is in charge of service arrangements in Hong Kong, Macau, and Southern China Guangdong Province. The services consists of supplying spare parts for any MDT product, onboard service for 2-/4-stroke, turbocharger and workshop services, including reconditioning.
During the ISO9001:2008 Certification Ceremony, management representatives from MDT-HKG voiced both their appreciation for World Center for Certification & Quality’ professional services during the certification process and their satisfaction with the certification. Mr. Peter Kisslinger, the Managing Director of MDT-HKG, stated at the ceremony, “We are grateful for World Center for Certification & Quality’ cooperation in ensuring the success of our management system and that our quality meets international levels. Now that we have received the ISO 9001:2008 certification, we are targeting for the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications before the end of 2012, which we are improving all our internal processes to obtain.”
